About the build

Built for one journey

The Dodge RAM 2500 from the nomad line pairs the off-road capability of an American pickup with a modern, genuinely home-like interior. The aluminium build — free of rattling components — delivers a full-size bed, a comfortable bathroom and a kitchen with generous counter space. Inside there is a dedicated work and relaxation area along with abundant cabinetry, keeping every longer expedition tidy and comfortable.

The foundation of self-sufficiency is an extensive power system: 2x 520W solar panels, LiFePO4 batteries with a total capacity of 720 Ah (2x 360 Ah) and Victron Orion XS 50A DC-DC chargers. Energy is managed by a Victron MPPT 150/85 solar controller and a Victron MultiPlus 12/1600/70 inverter, all tied together by a Simarine control panel. Thermal comfort comes from a Truma Combi 6 E iNet heater and an under-bench 12V air conditioner, making the vehicle usable year-round in any weather.

The water system includes a 100-litre fresh-water tank with drinking-water filtration, separate grey-water tanks and an external Reich shower. The kitchen features a Yolco RL90 fridge and a Solgaz Adventure 2+1 gas hob, with countertops and fronts made of durable HPL. The bathroom is fitted with a waterless, heat-sealing Clesana C1 toilet and dedicated ventilation, while a Plus Fan roof fan serves the living area.

Outside, the Dodge RAM 2500 is ready for real overlanding: six Strands Siberia SL lights, a heavy-duty HD bike mount, panel and roof-window wind deflectors, an underslung 30-litre gas tank with an external outlet, and a twin-cylinder HF compressor. This is a camper that blends the toughness of an American platform with a refined, premium interior — ready to take you far off the beaten track.
